About this song
The modern recording linked here is Gökhan Özkan’s Gogni Gogni featuring Chveneburebi, issued on Ertoba on 10 June 2022. The artist’s official YouTube channel and the Apple Music track provide two ways to hear the same credited release.
The title also has an earlier Imerkhevi performance connection. A community report of Badzgireti’s 2005 Marioba festival places Gogni Gogni in the repertoire of the İmerhev Müzik ve Folklor Grubu. That account helps document its circulation in the region; it is not by itself proof of the song’s first composition or of the origin of every verse used today.
A repeated phrase or familiar title can appear in more than one arrangement. This entry therefore keeps the 2022 release, the festival reference and any future field recordings separately credited. The lyric panel will be completed from a checked text of the selected version, rather than a mixture of online verses.
